The Institute for Plastics Processing (IKV) will this year go completely digital with its traditional conference, "International Colloquium Plastics Technology", because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The program of lectures will be spread over four afternoons instead of two full days to take into account the special situation of the virtual participants.
Despite the new aspects, the Colloquium will, even in the virtual format, remain true to its motto "Recruiting. Networking. Innovating." 15 lecture sessions with keynote papers from industry representatives plus research reports from IKV scientists will constitute the core element of the conference, supplemented by the established plenary lectures on current key topics of the industry - Industry 4.0 and recycling management. In addition, "IKV 360°" offers the opportunity to take part in a virtual tour, with demonstrations of innovative projects and ongoing processes at around 60 stations from all IKV research areas. A "real" exhibition, as it was planned in Aachen and for which HRSflow was registered as an exhibitor, unfortunately had to be cancelled - a reason to look forward to the 31st Colloquium in 2022!
Take the opportunity to experience research and teaching in the field of plastics technology up close! Forums and topic rooms will offer networking opportunities. Like the lectures and all components of the digital supporting program, they will be accessible via a specially developed Internet platform.
