HRSflow offers a service aimed at optimising the thermal performance in moulds, through an analysis of mould cooling and subsequent proposal of solutions to improve the overall cooling efficiency.
The Cooling analysis identifies the potential hot areas in the mould, to enable subsequent intervention with improvement solutions:
- TRADITIONAL: The conditioning circuits are modified by the introduction of supplementary cooling lines, ISO PIPE, Moldmax inserts, twin lead screw for cooling lines, milling of new channels.
- SLM, Selective Laser melting TECHNOLOGY: this technology obtains steel inserts for laser melting of consecutive layers for metal powders. The advantage of this technology is to enable the construction of inserts with specifically shaped geometry of cooling channels on the surface of the part to be moulded, thus no longer having to create straight channels. The adoption of SLM inserts enables uniform distribution of temperatures in the mould, a factor not possible with the use of traditional cooling techniques.
